ZDOWN FOLDING CHAIR
The folding chair ZDOWN was designed in 1968 by designer Erik Magnussen and after some years off the market, it is now time to relaunch the classic and modern chair.
The folding chair’s simple construction is characteristic for Erik Magnussen’s designs. For decades, Magnussen explored the unique expression, and the steel pipe in particular was Magnussen’s true companion. He wanted to make the most out of the material and explored the strength which can be achieved when design is thought through.
SIMPLE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
ZDOWN was designed with the aim to use the steel’s ability to shape and bend. The steel structure of the chair consists of two z-shaped pipes and like a twisted paperclip, the steel is bend in a zigzag structure, with the ends elegantly finished in the seat and backrest.
The construction ensures that the chair never goes out of shape, as the steel pipe spans the seat and back, which strengthens the chair and provides a great seating comfort.
The folding chair’s elegant and characteristic expression is ideal for hotels, foyers, receptions or the private home. ZDOWN is available in natural leather in three colours with a frame in polished chrome.
XSIT FOLDING STOOL
XSIT is a simple, practical and comfortable folding stool with similar construction and function as the ZDOWN chair.
The functional folding stool is available in the finest natural leather in three colours with a frame in polished chrome.
EASY TO STORE AND TRANSPORT
XSIT has an extra component, a steel arc that locks the stool in folded condition. This makes the stool easy to transport and store – which makes XSIT ideal for museums, galleries and other public spaces, or as an extra chair in the home.
